Peep the new joint from DJ Dyllemma, off his upcoming project “Dyllemanade”.
“The other night my heart was broken once again. This time coming after hearing about the murder of a young man(child), Joseph “Lil JoJo” Coleman. I didn’t know him. However, when I look at his picture online I’m reminded of my nephew – a couple years younger, living in another city not too different than Southside Chicago. An overwhelming, yet familiar, sensation came over me. It’s the same feeling I got when I saw Trayvon Martin’s picture. Something’s gotta give.
This song is a culmination of the past few months for me. Seeing violence, ignorance, and indifference plague the youth. Seeing record executives with dollar signs in their eyes trying to capitalize off these youth. Seeing run of the mill journalists adding fuel to the promo fire because they want to be ahead of the curve, or not be left out. Seeing the striking divide in our country. Seeing the presidential election approaching. Seeing the remnants (or evolution) of the Occupy Wall Street movement, as well as conversations with friends of mine who are current and former organizers.
This song is not meant to have the answers to anything. It’s just me venting my thoughts and concerns. Maybe it will resonate with some, and spark, something.”
Thanks for listening.
PEACE and PLUS energy

“Back in 2008, DJ K.O. recruited some of Hip-Hop’s finest emcees and producers to craft his debut offering. Picture This had track after track of dream collaborations between the likes of Royce 5’9, Talib Kweli, Elzhi, Phonte, Masta Ace, O.C., Skyzoo, Emilio Rojas and Silent Knight and delivered exactly what the fans wanted…real hip-hop. Simple formula – raw beats, raw rhymes. To take the record to another level, the album featured additional production from the likes of 9th Wonder, Analogic, Ayatollah, Black Milk, Buckwild, !LLMIND, Khrysis, M-Phazes & Marco Polo.
While EMPBeTheTeam may lack the blockbuster names of its predecessor, it certainly does not fall short of the level of quality established by Picture This. “Again, I tried to approach this album as a hip-hop fan,” says New Jersey native, DJ K.O. “I wanted to provide my team with opportunities to showcase what makes them unique as artists, yet still give fans a sound they’ll find familiar” he says. The result is an album that offers both style and substance. Most of the songs are good, old-fashioned hip-hop,” he explains. “There’s a raw, angry gutter sound mixed with more smooth, soulful tracks.”
here is the second leak, “Drunk Girls,” from DJ K.O.’s sophomore LP, EMPBeTheTeam, which will be released on 9-18-2012 & includes production from DJ K.O., !llmind & Analogic.”
